The former Manchester United (MU), Ray Wilkins, said Wayne Rooney maintain better rather than Cristiano Ronaldo. According to him, Rooney is a true Red Devils.

Many who assess, MU action release Ronaldo is a big mistake. The MU's impossible to get players such as Ronaldo again. However, Wilkins does not concur.

"When asked who the more you want, Rooney or Ronaldo, as a former soccer player, I prefer Wayne Rooney. For, he is a better team player," said Wilkins cited as The Sun.

"Along with changing the football, team spirit is more important than the individual. Rooney have great talents, but he is a team player and he was there throughout the weekend. He the great footballer," he added.

Wilkins is confident, will make the journey Ronaldo MU better. Without it, other players will be pushed to play better and more positive for this team.

"Many of them depend on Cristiano to produce something. Now, it's up to other players to lift their potential," emphatically Wilkins.

"I believe, they will be better. They have great quality in squad and Sir Alex (Ferguson) will improve," added Wilkins.

However, Wilkins holds MU need to buy players to fill the position left by Ronaldo. He believes, Ferguson will get the other players better with cheap price.

"Alex is very charming in the exchange (transfer). He will buy one or two. I think that he will leave the most money in the bank," explained. (SUN)
